2012 World Water Ski Record Event in StrahanThe World Record Water Ski Team is returning to Strahan on Tasmania’s West Coast with the goal of extending the World Record they set in 2010 for the Most Water Skiers Towed Behind a Single Boat.

Australia Day Mt Lyell Lake Burbury Picnic
Historic family picnic day held at Lake Burbury Picnic Grounds, located on the Lyell Highway on the way to Hobart when travelling from Queenstown (20 minute drive from Queenstown). A fun day with free good old fashioned Australian activities and events for all ages of the family. These include the 3 legged races, toss the gumboot, running races and hammer the nail. Prizes trophies are given. Free fruit bags and drink for kids and free adult goodie bags. Sausage sizzle also available. All welcome.

Come and join in for the historic family picnic day with free activities and events for all to enjoy whilst celebrating Australia Day. There are games and entertainment for the kids, including bike races, treasure hunt, steeping the chain, nail hammering, gumboot throwing, face painting and a jumping castle.
